By preventing this damage, your vision is spared from cataract development and lens clouding. Lutein and zeaxanthin are often paired together in supplements, making it easier to get both. These important eye vitamins are available in both capsules and soft gels for daily intake.

Omega 3-Fatty Acids

Omega-3 is crucial to protect your eyes from the effects of aging, as well as preventing high eye pressure. Ocular hypertension (pressure in the eyes) can lead to glaucoma and eventual vision loss. Omega-3 fatty acids ensure the intraocular fluid behind the iris is properly drained, preventing a build-up of fluid that would cause pressure.
